Designed by the artist, handwoven by Dovecot Tapestry Studio, this spectacular and huge – over seven metres wide and three metres high – tapestry, The Caged Bird’s Song, captures the energy and natural beauty of Trinidad, Ofili’s adopted homeland.  The tapestry, which took two and a half years to complete, goes on permanent display in the Clothworkers’ Hall following the exhibition.  Interested to see the caged bird? … click on the image above!
