Session 9: Thursday 16th August – Matisse meets Cezanne

Thursday 16th August:  Matisse meets Cezanne!  Henri Matisse and Paul Cezanne were instrumental in shaping Modern Art, Cezanne with his love of shapes, light and shadow, and Matisse his passion for colour and pattern.


Session 10: Friday 17th August – Hockney in Clay!

Friday 17th August:  David Hockney is the greatest British artist working today  – create a beautiful clay artwork in his style 


Session 11: Monday 20th August – Frida Kahlo portraits!

Session 12 Tuesday 21st August – Elephants Gauguin Style!

Tuesday 21st August:  Learn about leading Post Impressionist Paul Gauguin and about these fascinating and intelligent mammals

Session 13: Wednesday 22nd August – Pop Art Faces!

Wednesday 22nd August:  Learn about the Pop Art Movement and iconic Pop Artist Romero Britto 

Session 14: Tuesday 28th August – Paint like Monet!

Tuesday 28th August:  Claude Monet was a leading Impressionist and created the first Movement of Modern Art – learn to paint in his style

Session 15: Wednesday 29th August – Picasso Animals!

Wednesday  29th August:  Pablo Picasso was one of the most innovative and successful artists of the 20th century, anddrew inspiration from a lifelong fascination with animals.


Session 16: Thursday 30th August – Picasso with Clay!

Thursday 30th August:  Working with clay, we will learn about Pablo Picasso, greatest artist of the 20th century and the different art styles that he created.  To tie in with the major Picasso exhibition at Tate Modern link here


Session 17: Friday 31st August – Andy Warhol Pop Art Tigers !

Friday 31st August:  learn about the Pop Art Movement, Warhol’s artwork and tigers!  Create funky tigers with neon paint.


Age:  suitable for children aged 5-13 Time:  ALL sessions morning only: 10.00 am – 1.00 pm  Place:  KidsArtStudio

Cost:  £35 per session per child

Please Note: These sessions will not be led by Barbara but by other experienced KidsArt! leaders in her absence

Consent:  Booking implies consent to use of your child’s art work on the KidsArt!  website and facebook page

Cancellation policy:  We are unable to refund but you may send another child not already booked in your child’s place
