Refik Anadol’s Machine Hallucination – Renaissance Dreams, 2022
This monumental – 9 metres high – video installation on a LED screen offers a “hallucinating digital interpretation of Italian Renaissance art, setting out from a specific dataset of thousands of paintings produced between the 14th and 17th centuries … to visualise the way the paintings might look when seen collectively in the mind of a machine“.
