Brown Brogue Mystery, Tinkay

£4.99

An exciting adventure story for 9 -11 yr old’s – set on the streets of London and Edinburgh (softback – 1st edition April 2018).

Also available at Amazon bookstore – 5* reviewed

“I stumbled across this book while I was looking for a pair of shoes(!) and bought it because it sounded like an old fashioned sort of mystery story that I used to read as a kid. It reminded me a bit of the 39 Steps, but possible for slightly younger readers. It’s fun to read and there’s a great twist at the end. My son (13) is reading it now – I think he actually likes the slightly slower pace than the books he is used to which was a nice surprise.”

“This book’s front cover makes me think of mystery and adventure. I absolutely loved it it was amazingly descriptive and really interesting. I think the characters were very suited to the story . My favourite character was archie because he was very eager for adventure and daring.”

“Pick up Brown Brogue Mystery and you won’t be able to put it down. What starts off as a strange shoe obsession, turns into a far more complex tapestry of international intrigue and criminality, spanning the length of Britain. I had to fight my ten year old for reading rights!”

“I bought for my son but read first. It was interesting a sort of past present – Britain in the 60s but published in 2018. I asked him when he thought it was written and he said 1860. The time setting and pace is slow and fast at the same time and the story gripping with an unexpected twist.. He liked it at a lot and keeps asking to to go to London.”
