Applies to all KidsArt! venues with sinks, tables, chairs, and non-toxic art materials
Type of Session: group class, party, holiday session, private class
- Step 1: Identify Hazards & Risks

| Water on floor (from sinks, washing brushes, cleaning) | Children, teachers, visitors | Medium | – Ensure floor is dry before session – Wipe up spills immediately – Place non-slip mat if needed – Remind children to be careful near sinks |
| Slips, trips, or falls (general movement in venue) | Children, teachers, visitors | Low | – Keep walkways clear – Supervise children at all times – Arrange furniture to avoid crowded spaces |
| Fire / evacuation | Children, teachers, visitors | High | – Know fire exits and assembly point – Ensure exits are clear – Follow venue’s fire evacuation procedure |
| Allergic reactions to materials or food | Children | Medium | – Use only non-toxic, child-safe materials – Check for known allergies before session – Keep known allergen materials away from mouths and eyes |
| First aid / medical emergencies | Children, teachers | High | – Ensure at least one first aid trained person is present – Know location of first aid kit – Record significant injuries in Accident Book – Report serious incidents to KidsArt |
